The Ellis Theatre opened its doors July 4th, 1929. For almost 90 years, the theater provided a space for first run movies, local theater productions, and music. Sadly, the theater closed its doors in October 2016.
We'd like to reopen them.
With a quality digital projection system, beautiful main auditorium and dressing rooms, and prime downtown location, it would be a shame to keep the doors of the Ellis closed.
We are currently organizing a non-profit business that will operate the theater and care for the building for years to come.
